The Minac Theatre - a unique open-air theatre created from the cliffside at Porthcurno by Rowena Cade.
The Theatre Royal and Drum Theatre in Plymouth.

Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant in Padstow. Probably no further information required, as you've seen him on TV. Superb food. About a 50 minute drive.

Local Information:
Warner Village Cinemas - a brand new cinema complex with 15 screens, opened in 1999, situated at the Barbican leisure park in Plymouth. There are several restaurants, a night club and a bowling alley within the complex.
 

Cornwall Tourist Board - for the current situation on restrictions imposed (or not) in Cornwall by the foot and mouth outbreak.
Attractions:
 
The Eden Project - "Space age technology meets the lost world in the giant 50 metre deep crater. Nestling within it are two gigantic geodesic conservatories - the largest in the world." This is Tim Smit's latest exciting project. The Visitor's Centre is open from May 15th, 2000. About a 40 minute drive. Opening fully for Easter 2001.
The National Marine Aquarium - "We'll take you on a spectacular underwater journey through streams, rivers, shorelines, reefs and oceans. Stand in awe in front of some of the largest and most spectacular underwater displays in Europe. A wall of ocean 15 metres wide and 5 metres high... a Shark Theatre set in over 700,000 litres of water... a live Coral Reef with hundreds of brightly coloured fish... or a Wave Tank washing thousands of litres of sea water back and forth." About a 30 minute drive.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan - Tim Smit's first exciting botanical project, popularised by TV, books, videos etc. About a 45 minute drive.
The Monkey Sanctuary - "The Monkey Sanctuary is situated in a beautiful wooded setting overlooking Looe Bay, Cornwall (UK). For over 30 years The Victorian house and gardens have been the home of a natural colony of woolly monkeys (Lagothrix lagothricha). " About a 5 minute drive (1½ miles).
