Here's a
Summary of Our Most Recent Developments.
| Ready from Easter of 1998 are 2 more Corfu's and 2 more
Sicily's. They are on the ground floor, each having been created from the
merging of 2 of the old studio apartments. They are furnished and equipped as
their 1st floor equivalents, except that there are no drop down double beds in
the lounges. |
 |
 |
The ground floor Corfu's sleep 2, with the Sicily's
sleeping 4. One of the ground floor Corfu's is equipped with potential
wheelchair users in mind, including lower light switches, higher power points,
a larger bathroom, twin 3' beds (that can be pushed together if required),
level access and the ability to bring and park the car very close to the
entrance. |
| In
March 1999 we replaced all dining tables and chairs, 3 piece suites (with
coordinated curtains in the lounge) and bedroom furniture in apartment types
Capri, Crete and Corsica. Carpets, vinyl, TV's and fridges have also been
replaced in these apartments. |
 |
- In November
1998 we double-glazed the fronts and sides of apartment types Capri, Crete and
Corsica. This means that all apartments are double-glazed, except the rear of
types Capri, Crete and Corsica (but see below!).
- We have now
provided patio tables and chairs for all apartment types.

|
New for 2000
|
- The remainder
of the studio apartments have been converted into new 1 & 2 bedroomed
apartments, as per types Corfu and Sicily (2 of each).
- The kitchens
and bathrooms have been replaced in apartment types Capri, Crete and Corsica
and the double glazing has been completed in the rear of these apartments. We
are delighted to say that they are now, therefore, completely
refurbished.
- In keeping
with the Mediterranean feel of Mount Brioni, the apartment types have been
re-named after well known holiday islands. To translate for our previous
customers, the new names are as follows:
- Type C
becomes Capri
- Type C1
becomes Corsica
- Type D
becomes Crete
- Types E
& New E2 become Corfu
- Type New
E4 becomes Malta
- Type New
D4 becomes Sicily
- Type New
D6 becomes Sardinia
We hope that
you prefer these new names, and apologise in advance for any confusion caused
to our regular customers. We have been at least as confused as you!!
- Types Capri,
Corsica, Crete and one of the Corfu's (was type E) changeover on Fridays, while
all the other apartments changeover on Saturdays. These days may be varied at
low season, so please ask if the set days are not convenient for you.
- All apartments
now have microwave ovens included.
- Electricity is
included in all apartments - no more meters!
- Bed linen is
included in the tariff, with the beds made up for your arrival.
- There are no
extra charges for cots or high chairs, though these are only available on a
first come first served basis (we currently have 3 of each).
- One of the
Corfu's (used to be type E, and the only one to changeover on Fridays) is
designated non-smoking, and will not normally accept a cot. If there proves to
be a high demand for non-smoking accommodation, we will extend this
option.
- The tariff has
only increased approximately in line with inflation, with some rentals actually
being reduced. Overall, then, most of our prices for 2000 will be effectively
lower, when the inclusion of bed linen, electricity and other extras is taken
into account!
|
| New for
2001 |
- The facilities will be much
the same as for 2000, with the exception that VCR's will now be standard in the
'superior' apartments (Corfu, Sicily, Malta & Sardinia). They will still be
available for hire in the other apartments.
- The other main changes are to
the tariff:
- We will be charging again
for cots and high chairs (see tariff for the charges).
- Corsica's and Sardinia's,
which can each sleep 6, will now have a charge of £20 per person per
week, when more than 4 people occupy the apartment. This charge only applies to
the fifth & sixth occupants. Otherwise, the weekly hire charge is the same
as for types Crete and Sicily respectively.
- A variety of special offers
have been introduced, which mean that in many cases the price of a holiday in
2001 can be significantly lower than the equivalent holiday in 2000. We hope
that you find these of interest!
|
| New for
2002 |
- The maximum occupancy of the
Corsica's will now be reduced to 4 (including a baby), because we have felt for
some time that they are over-crowded with 5 or 6 occupants.
- The prices have only been
increased in line with inflation, and sometimes not at all. The special offers
have changed - please read the tariff for details.
